Announcement for organizations providing help to Ukrainian citizens
POLISH NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANISATIONS
ORGANISATIONS FROM OUTSIDE OF POLAND (HUMANITARIAN AID CONVOYS)
Organisations helping Ukrainian citizens are temporarily exempt from the tolls on A4 Motorway section Katowice-Kraków. Toll exemption is only available upon submitting an appropriate request ahead of time.
THE REQUEST SHOULD MEET FOLLOWING RULES:
- The request must be submitted at least 24 hours ahead of time - longer advancement is recommended
- Mandatory information to be included in the request:
(i) organisation name,
(ii) organisation contact data (headquarters address, e-mail address, contact telephone number),
(iii) planned dates of passage
(iv) planned route of humanitarian aid vehicles,
(v) license plate numbers of humanitarian aid vehicles (IMPORTANT - COUNTRY WHERE THE LICENSE PLATE HAS BEEN ISSUED MUST BE INCLUDED).

Privately organized transports with humanitarian aid (outside organizations) are not subject to a toll exemption.
We kindly ask for submitting requests that meet given guidelines. This will reduce the time needed to process applications.
Uploading the exempt license plate numbers to the tolling systems might not be possible if the request is submitted too late.

Drivers of the vehicles exempt from the toll should report that fact to the toll collector at the toll collection plazas. Only manned toll collection lanes, marked with the blue signs including the toll collector pictogram, can be used. The electronic toll collection services using an on-board unit or videotolling should be temporarily deactivated.
IMPORTANT:
Due to technical limitations of the toll collection system, it is required that applications be submitted as early as possible, with a minimum of 24 hours in advance. In order for the system to confirm that the vehicle is exempt from toll on day "x", the registration number must be added to the list no later than at 23:59 on day "x-1", therefore the application must be received by us and processed within day "x -1 ".
