Surface replacement - update

Please be informed that works connected with surface replacement on the carriageway to Katowice have already started between toll collection plaza in Balice and Rudno Jucntion on the section of 4 km (from km 386 to km 390).

Due to works on road marking and installation of steel barriers :

• from 4.30 PM 4 May to 6 May morning  there will be only one lane in Krakow direction, from km 386 to km 391, with a speed limit to 80 km/h.
• from 7 PM 4 May to 6 May morning there will be only one lane in Katowice direction, from km od 391+000 to km 390+400 i.e on the section of 600 meters, with a speed limit to 80 km/h.
• starting from 6 May there will be two lanes in both directions:  on the carriageway in Katowice direction - one lane, on the carriageway to Krakow - two lanes in Krakow direction and one lane in Katowice direction.

On 11 June replacement works will start on the carriageway to Krakow. Replacement works between toll plaza in Balice and Rudno Junction are to be completed till 22 July and after the World Youth Day in Krakow they will start on the section between junctions: Jelen and Balin.
