"PAWS, PAWS, COLLECT PAWS". THE A4 KATOWICE-KRAKÓW MOTORWAY CONCESSIONAIRE WILL SUPPORT ANIMAL SHELTERS TOGETHER WITH AUTOMATIC PAYMENT USERS

22 09 2021 #Press information

Each journey via the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway, paid automatically by the end of September, increases the amount that Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska will donate to two shelters for homeless animals: in Katowice and in Kraków. All drivers need to do is register at www.automatycznaA4.pl. This campaign is promoted by popular YouTubers such as Urbex History, PodróżoVanie, and Kamil in Travel.

The campaign is conducted under the slogan "Paws, paws, collect paws". In their videos, the YouTubers promote automatic payments for using the motorway - not only are they cheaper and faster than traditional payments, but they also support homeless animals. Payments for using the concession section of the A4 motorway that were made in the last three months or that will still be made by the end of September via the application or the A4Go electronic toll collection will increase the pool of funds to be donated to shelters. All you have to do is "give" a virtual paw - register at www.automatycznaA4.pl. The more paws collected, i.e. journeys paid for using automatic payment methods, the greater the support. The goal is to donate PLN 10,000 to each shelter: Municipal Shelter for Homeless Animals in Katowice and the Shelter for Homeless Animals in Kraków.

'Following "Dog Survival Game", the social campaign conducted a few years ago, which raised the problem of dogs abandoned by the roads, we are once again engaged in activities aimed at improving the fate of animals. Each registration on the website of the campaign increases the pool of support for the shelters, and, apart from convenience, it is another benefit offered by automatic payments to their users. There is a reason why we chose such beneficiaries of our support - shelters for homeless animals in the towns which are connected by our motorway,' says Rafał Czechowski, Spokesman of Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska.

The total number of subscriptions of the Youtubers involved in the campaign is 1.6 million.
The authors of the vlog PodróżoVanie travel across Europe and live in a self-built campervan. The authors of the Urbex History channel visit and make videos about abandoned, sometimes secret or inaccessible, places. Kamil in Travel reports his travels and encounters with wild animals. During their September expeditions, they discover the advantages of using automatic payment methods for travelling via the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway. Information about SAM SA

Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. manages the 60-km section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway. This is the first fully operational road of this type in Poland, built as part of the public-private partnership, as a brownfield project  on the basis of the road constructed in the 1970s  and 1980s. Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. obtained a license for its adaptation to the requirements of the toll motorway and operation in 1997. It required numerous investments. All investment projects and current maintenance of road lanes are funded from revenues obtained from the collection of tolls for the concession section and loans received from the international banking consortium. Unlike other concessions for the management of toll motorways, the project implemented by Stalexport Autostrada S. A. does not burden the State Treasury with any obligations. Moreover, it has not received any grants or guarantees of the Treasury.
