REPLACEMENT OF EXPANSION JOINTS ON THE A4 KATOWICE-KRAKOW FLYOVER NEAR THE MURCKOWSKA JUNCTION STRAIGHT AFTER EASTER

Works on the damaged expansion joints of the flyover located on the toll-free section of the concession stretch of the A4 Katowice – Krakow motorway will start on 7 April. They will be carried out near the Murckowska Junction (intersection of the A4 with the national road 86) on the roadway in the Katowice direction. They are planned to finish on 29 April.

Changes in traffic organisation will be introduced due to construction works on a two-kilometre section of the motorway. They will enable quick progress of works and make them be the least troublesome for drivers.

 Planned dates of changes in traffic organisation:

- from early evening of 7 April until the afternoon of 8 April, on 341+300 km to 343+400 km on the roadway in the Krakow direction traffic will go on one lane with the speed limit of 80 km/h.

- from 8 to 29 April, on 341+300 km to 343+400 km the roadway in the direction of Katowice will be closed and traffic will be restricted to one lane of the roadway in the Krakow direction. Traffic in the direction of Krakow will proceed on two narrowed lanes. There will be a speed limit of 60 km/h in both directions.
