THE A4 PLAY THEIR CARDS WELL!
Bird's eye view. Cars cross the toll plazas one by one, barriers open, toll collectors serve customers – everything in fast motion. An instructional video about KartA4 cards, a new form of payment for the motorway is not a science fiction movie. Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska played their cards well to make passage through the gates really quick.
First there were payments with bank cards then fleet cards and fuel cards were added. On the leftmost lanes of toll plazas in Mysłowice and Balice self service gates have been launched that are solely dedicated to card payments. From 4 January drivers regularly travelling on the A4 Katowice-Krakow can pay with KartA4 proximity card which makes going through the gates even quicker.
It is with these motorway users in mind that this film has been prepared. It shows how to use the new card in an easily digestible way.
- We have chosen this form of communication because we believe that images speak louder than words. The film published on our youtube channel is an online instruction on how to use KartA4 cards and it is available for everyone – says Rafał Czechowski, the spokesperson for Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A.
The fast motion opening sequences of the movie become slower when we get to know the new payment method from the perspective of the user. We learn e.g. about the types of KartA4 cards, how we can buy and top up the card, what benefits it provides both for private customers and for companies. The user registers on the website www.karta4.pl and orders the card without leaving home. Payments for using the motorway are made by giving the card to the toll collector or using the self-service gate. Both ways are convenient and quick.
Apart from the instruction film the youtube channel also contains the film summarising the project of increasing toll plaza capacity in Myslowice and Balice that has been implemented for a few years.
